HB83 and SB2426 the Anti Profiling bills are still sitting in the Public Safety Committee and as far as I have heard there is not a plan for them to be discussed. This has been our issue, is that it's “not a big enough issue” to be discussed, but yet a bill limiting the power of eclectic motorcycles has already been passed by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by the Governor. Why did it move through so quickly, #1 it has to do with electric vehicles, and #2 and I think most importantly it did not have to go through the Public Safety committee. This is another reason that it is going to take all of us working together to ensure that our Representatives and Senators know just how important this is and that it is happening to us on a regular basis. Here is an excellent example of profiling happening to one of our own and the way that he handled it was spot on. remember you are never going to win an argument with LE on the side of the road, 

Please contact your federal legislators and ask them to support H.R. 1435 the “Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act.” H.R. 1435 would amend the Clean Air Act to prevent a ban on

the sale of internal combustion engines, effectively trumping any state law that outlaws their sale. I have already heard people here in Oklahoma say that this will never happen, but can we truthfully take the chance. Can we trust our representatives? I think that we all know the answer to that question.
